Family time together.

Oliver
I can't remember what the mana bears were celebrating but it was high five worthy and had had to do with the lengths they would go to protect their children I'm sure of it!  Love them!!
Haha checking out "the rock"!

Photos

Some photos from mama and papas I wanted to remember.
Some of my grandmothers siblings. There were 16 total.
Mama and papa.
The patriarch!
Mama age 14. "Sausage curls" were made by rolling her hair around socks.
50th wedding anniversary in 1993.
Mama and her little sister Mary.
It's hard to express how much I miss her already. But I'm so very grateful to know she and papa can be together forever.

The market

We ventured out on the hunt for boiled peanuts, and found a little open market. They had boiled peanuts and much much more.
Actually the phrase "you might be a redneck" if this is in your shopping cart came to mind more than a few times!

And of course I got a bag of boiled peanuts. 4 pounds to be exact!
They were sooooo yummy!

My heart is full.

It was a hard day today as we laid my grandmother to her final resting place.
But my heart is so full.
She was with me. She was brave and courageous and she could do hard things with God.
So I knew I could too.
I could not have done this without my family.
There were so many people who came and supported us.
There were so many who came to show their respect and love for my grandmother.
Our matriarch has left us and I miss her more than words can describe but she is with my dear sweet grandfather and I could not be happier thinking of them together again!!!!!!

Downtown Simpsonville

If you have been to my house and seen the clocks.  This is downtown Simpsonville.

Simpsonville

I have so much to catch up on but until that blogging happens I figured I better keep up with this week before it goes by without blogged too!  That would be a real shame on me.

I'm in South Carolina my sweet grandmother passed away at age 98 and I was able to come for her funeral services.

Today my brother and I got to go visit Miss Dot. She took care of us when we were little when my mom was single and had to work. She is like a second mom to us.

On the way home we drove by our old house on east view circle.

It is bitter sweet to be here at this time. But soo very good to be together with my family sharing memories and comforting one another.
